What they don't tell you is that the router you would replace the starlink router with, will indeed require another power supply for that router and the wiring to go with it.

In addition more wireless configuration and setup, unlike the starlink APP simple setup and management.

Which if you have not already thought about it, having a different router with the power supply for that router, is additional power demand on your battery. The real question and evidence is whether or not you are actually saving power by doing such a thing?

Furthermore its the actual dish that requires more power when used in winter for the snow melting heating within the dish which can consume an additional 120 watts.

The main component has been tested and designed for campervans, RVs, motorhomes, caravans and those 4WD off road campers that want to take their Gen 3 starlink equipment for connectivity to the internet no matter where they are.  *They just need a 12 volt DC power supply such as a 100AH 12v DC Battery.
